Privacy Policy

Last updated June 26, 2026

LegalTechMag (“we,” “us”) is an independent publication that reviews legal software. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, and the choices you have. We collect as little as we need to run the publication.

Information we collect

Information you give us. When you subscribe to our newsletter we collect your email address. When you submit an advertising inquiry we collect the details you enter — typically your company, name, email, phone, website, budget range, and message.

Information collected automatically. Like most sites, we collect basic analytics about how pages are used — including pages viewed, referring links, approximate location derived from your IP address, and device and browser type. Our hosting provider also keeps standard server logs (including IP addresses) for security and reliability.

How we use it

  • To send the newsletter you asked for, and let you unsubscribe.
  • To respond to advertising and partnership inquiries.
  • To understand which coverage is useful and improve the site.
  • To keep the site secure and prevent spam and abuse.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it to build advertising profiles.

Service providers

We share information only with the vendors that help us operate, and only as needed:

  • Kit (newsletter delivery) — stores your email and sends the newsletter.
  • Google Sheets — where advertising-inquiry details are recorded for our team to follow up.
  • Cloudflare Turnstile — protects the advertising form from bots; it may process your IP address and set a token to verify you are human.
  • PostHog (US) — product analytics; processes the usage data described above and may set cookies or local-storage identifiers.
  • Vercel — hosts the site and keeps server logs.

Cookies and tracking

We use a small number of cookies and similar technologies for analytics and bot protection — not for advertising. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work. We honor your browser’s “Do Not Track” preference where supported.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, to object to certain processing, and to unsubscribe at any time. To exercise any of these, email editor@legaltechmag.com and we will respond within a reasonable time.

Data retention

We keep newsletter subscriptions until you unsubscribe, and advertising inquiries for as long as needed to evaluate and follow up on the request. Analytics data is retained on a rolling basis.

International transfers

We are based in the United States and use US-based providers, so your information may be processed in the United States.

Children

The site is intended for legal and business professionals and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site evolves. We will revise the “last updated” date above when we do.
